The Magellan Travel Conference 2024 concluded successfully in Adelaide after three days filled with networking, business updates, panel discussions, and special events designed to celebrate the national network of independent leisure and corporate agency members.

Held under the theme “Belong,” which emphasized identity, unity, capability, and belonging, the annual event kicked off with a welcome dinner and experience at Penfolds Magill Estate. The conference was opened by Helloworld Travel CEO Andrew Burnes, who highlighted the significant role and value of the leisure and corporate travel agency network. Burnes also discussed the opportunities available to members, including the new partnership with Ensemble, which has received positive feedback.

Key industry partners were in attendance, including representatives from AmaWaterways, ANZCRO, Azamara, Chimu Adventures, Club Med, Cover-More Travel Insurance, Globus family of brands, Intrepid Travel, Lufthansa, NCL, nib Travel, Railbookers, Scenic, Scoot, Singapore Airlines, Travelport, TTC Tour Brands, Virgin Airlines, Wendy Wu Tours, and Windstar Cruises.

Magellan General Manager Iain Summers delivered a speech, followed by panel discussions with preferred partners and updates from the HLO division on Air Tickets, VIVA Holidays, ReadyRooms, Cruiseco, Commercial, and Marketing. Summers concluded the conference with key insights into industry trends, including products, sustainability, traveler preferences, and emerging technologies.

The conference wrapped up with a unique wine-tasting experience at the d’Arenberg Cube, an exclusive tour of the Salvador Dalí exhibition, and a dinner at Adelaide’s Centre of Immersive Light & Art (ILA).
